Master Okawa teaches that some religions are focused within on self reflection and personnel development while others place more emphasis on faith and salvation from God and high spirits. At Happy Science we recognize that these 2 perspectives are in fact complementary and need to be harmonized to properly develop ourselves and the world.

It is of course true that God's mind or Buddha nature exists within each of us but it is wrong to think that we contain God in his entirety rather God or Buddha contains us all. Our minds are connected to the eternal but do not encompass it.

In practical terms this means we contain the truly infinite potential of Buddha ready for us to develop eternally and that we are also contained within the body of a great and loving God who guides and nurtures our development especially as we develop a relationship with him.

There is an abundance of evidence for all types of strangeness in the world but the problem is about domainant paradigms promoting narrow views. This is to say evidence can not be admited to the record because it doesn't conform to what was taught in 1950's text books, seen on the nightly news or read in certain magazines.Opening ourselves to the possibilities should be a first step to discovering your evidence. The concept of proof as it is popularly understood is a myth since science is actually well aware that it cannot prove that the sky is blue and that to try you first need to make accept assumptions. Materialistic science is a fantastic tool to development but its limitations must be recalled if we are to develop as human beings and not simply machines.

Master Okawa makes many bold claims but the proof is in the teachings themselves, so we reccommend you strive for experience rather than evidence. Study the teaching, practice self-reflection and try to acheive a clear and happy state of mind in this way you can begin to see the world not only as vibrating energy but also as a manifestation of Love.

This question is the same as what is God or Love or consciousness or spiritual light. Making sense of that has employed philosophers since the beginnings of humanity. So what does it mean.

We see the universe as existing inside higher dimensions which are almost impossible to touch from within the 3 dimensional world just as time can only be perceived as an infinitely narrow slice of eternity. Master Okawa teaches that in higher dimensional realities properties like "spirituality" have actual directionality like up or down do here. Within this paradigm truth can be seen as a direction and that is towards God or the source of all creation.

This great directionality built into creation means that we can talk about things like God's will, purpose in life, right or wrong and of some people being spiritually evolved and therefore closer to God's mind. It gives both our lives and all of existence great meaning. In the higher dimensional spiritual world looking towards the truth is like looking up towards the sun and so religious art including the movies of Happy Science often portray it in this way.

So fill your mind with the light of truth and fill your life with it, means to move closer to God in a literal if multidimensional sense.

First of all we are truly sorry that religion has offended you, we take the role of religion very seriously and are very aware that religions have often made mistakes. We are commited to not only not making the same mistakes but also to repairing those made in the past. Religions are crucial for several reasons one being that they create a shared language for discussing abstract concepts like Love or God. This common language is really all that is required to end most religious conflicts so a new global religion is important. Happy Science do not want to make everyone the same but to offer a perspective from which we can see the current world religions as being partners on an important mission and not beyond criticism.
